The Local Area

Kilchrenan

The village of Kilchrenan is situated on the shores of Loch Awe.

The caravans are sited in a secluded location behind Cuilreoch Croft.

Hill walking in the Forestry Commission network of walks, Golf and Fishing are the immediate attractions in the local area.

There is a local inn in Kilchrenan and a fully licensed hotel within walking distance.

Dalavich

The picturesque Forestry village of Dalavich, built when timber was the biggest source of income and largest employer in the area, is seven miles further along the scenic Glen Road.

There is a small village shop and tearoom providing refreshments for both holidaymakers and locals.

Taynuilt

There is a Butchers, Newsagents, General Grocery store and Post Office in Taynuilt seven miles away. Tea and Coffee is available at a number of Tea rooms in the village and also from Taynuilt Hotel. The Golf Course is open to non members.

Oban

Oban, the Gateway to the Isles, is twenty miles away. There are regular Ferry services to the Hebridean Islands from the peir.
